    Community Day – Car Show, Flea Market, BBQ & More Day: September 23, 2017 Time: 08:00 AM-02:00 PM

    Everybody is welcome to enjoy some of the community’s neighborly spirit at this outdoor festival. Peruse a collection of old cars, shop the antiques, furniture and interesting items at the flea market, bargain hunt for clothing, jewelry and household items at the Thrift Shop sidewalk sale, taste the goodies at the bake sale and eat in or take out the “Smokehouse BBQ” foods made by our award-winning chef. There will also be a DJ, live music, children’s activities and outdoor games. Come see and experience outdoor campus life. Be sure to invite your friends and family, too. Admission and activities are free. Food and sale items are for purchase.

    Heart Strings (Dementia) Support Group Day: September 26, 2017 Time: 03:00 PM-04:30 PM

    Peter Becker Community, a senior living community in Harleysville, PA is hosting the Heart Strings Support Group to help people with a loved one affected by dementia.

    The program is free and open to Alzheimer’s/Dementia caregivers in the community. Loved ones affected by Alzheimer’s are also welcome to attend.

    18th Annual Golf Outing at Indian Valley Country Club Day: October 2, 2017 Time: 11:00 AM-06:00 PM

    Tee off with friends, enter competitions and don’t miss the great giveaways and door prizes! This outing is more than a wonderful day of golf with colleagues, friends and family members. It is also about supporting the community’s benevolent fund. This year we are back at Indian Valley Country Club in Telford. Lunch & Learns are casual and tailored to those who want to learn more about Peter Becker Community. There’s never any pressure to do anything more than talk about the possibilities of you someday moving to the community.     Join us to discuss possible end-of-life scenarios, explore your treatment and comfort care choices and learn how to communicate your wishes to your family. Though this is an uncomfortable topic, preparing now brings peace of mind to you and your loved ones in the future.

    Two Sessions: Tuesday, Oct. 17, 10am-11:15am OR 7pm-8:15pm

    There are two sessions:
    Morning: 10am-11:15am
    OR
    Evening: 7pm-8:15pm

    Kate Roberts, MSW, LSW, is the Director of Support Services at Peter Becker Community.

    I have been a social worker for almost 20 years and have spent the last decade specifically working with older adults. I have spoken privately and publicly on a wide range of topics from insurance, depression, anxiety and crisis implications on behalf of PBC and look forward to sharing some of that knowledge and experience with folks outside our community.
