One individual can accomplish much
Your contribution to Peter Becker Community makes a difference in the lives of those we serve. Our residents provide all the motivation you could possibly want. They have lived through wars and military conflicts (many of them serving in our armed forces), and experienced changes in transportation, communication, energy options, technology and American culture. Whether they are in our residential living homes, personal care or in our health care center, they deserve our respect and security during this stage of their lives.
There are various ways that you can provide vital services and peace of mind to these very special people. Some options are:
These gifts are restricted to a specific program, fund or capital item. Choices might include a gift to the Benevolent Fund, dollars to help purchase a new wheelchair van, or funds to buy new table linens for the dining room.
Unrestricted giving helps to enhance the overall operations of our community. Your gifts will be used to help us provide the highest quality of life possible for those we serve. Your unrestricted gift allows us to use the funds where they are most needed.
Peter Becker Community conducts several “Campaigns” during the year to raise funds for specific purposes. The two largest campaigns currently are “The Annual Campaign” and “The Benevolent Fund Campaign.”
- Annual Campaign: The Annual Campaign receives contributions throughout the year with a special focus during the traditional “year-end” charitable contribution time frame of November and December. Donors may designate a specific fund for their gift or make their donation unrestricted.
- Benevolent Fund Campaign: Donors may also contribute to The Benevolent Fund Campaign throughout the year, but significant special activities and a major dinner and entertainment take place in either May or June. The Benevolent Fund supports residents who, through no fault of their own, have expended their financial resources and are no longer able to fully provide for their daily needs.
Peter Becker Community accepts gifts-in-kind that meet the needs of our community and fall within our gift acceptance policy.
One way to honor a loved one, whether he or she lived at Peter Becker Community or not, is to make a memorial gift in his or her name. These gifts include cash donations in the name of the person being honored, specified capital improvements and memorial bricks. All memorial gifts are acknowledged to the family of the one memorialized.
Matching gifts are another way that you can expand the benefits of your own giving. We urge you to check with your employer as many organizations offer to double or even triple your personal gift. Some employers offer this benefit to retirees.
Peter Becker Community is indebted to the overwhelming dedication of our volunteers who collectively devote almost 20,000 hours in support of our mission. This is a wonderful way to give to share personal talents.
