Chief Operations Officer / NHA

The Chief Operations Officer (COO) position is a key partner to the CEO.  This person is responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the campus and assists the Peter Becker Community CEO with the development and implementation of short and long term strategies and master plans affecting the campus. Peter Becker Community, one of Eastern Pennsylvania’s most distinguished, not-for-profit CCRCs is seeking an accomplished and experienced leader for this position.

With a long-term plan for campus growth, the ideal candidate has experience in CCRC campus development, expansions, and renovations and has the ability to implement and execute strategic initiatives for the organization. The position also plays a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance as well as quality in all aspects of service delivery in all areas of the community.

Job responsibilities:

  • Assumes responsibility for insuring the optimum efficiency and effectiveness of services offered.
  • Motivating and leading a high performance management team.
  • Guiding and advising department managers to achieve optimum performance levels.
  • Directs facility operations to meet budget and financial goals.
  • Execute and implement campus and corporate strategic plans and initiatives.
  • Maintains knowledge of local, state and federal legislation and requirements to ensure that campus remains in compliance with all regulations.  Responsible for ensuring staff participation and response to healthcare and personal care and inspection process.
  • Recruits, selects and retains high quality talent to supervise the activities of major departments.  Reviews performance of each leader and department on an on-going basis to ensure that residents receive a high quality of care.

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in health or business administration, master’s preferred.
  • 5-10 years leadership experience in a healthcare or CCRC facility.
  • Pennsylvania Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license required.
  • Ability to be creative and flexible in executing multi-faceted problem solving.
  • Understands and embraces the mission of Peter Becker Community.  Able to assimilate into a strong culture.
  • Strong analytical and financial skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to process information accurately, make appropriate decisions and take appropriate action based upon the information available.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills; maintain a hospitality approach when engaging all individuals, with the ability to provide appropriate leadership and oversight to campus. Relates well in a team atmosphere with campus staff and corporate leadership.

Director of Facilities Management

Our community is seeking a hands-on dynamic Director to lead our Facilities Management team.  This role is responsible for ensuring the optimum efficiency and effectiveness of the Peter Becker Community Facilities Management Department.

Job responsibilities:

  • Develops department goals and policies; schedules and directs implementation of approved changes
  • Supervises and evaluates facilities management staff, transportation staff and security staff; guides and advises personnel to achieve optimum performance levels
  • Assures compliance with government regulations
  • Directs the repair, construction and reconstruction of the facility’s physical plans and its contents.
  • Plans and implements preventative and recurring facility and equipment maintenance
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining both Operational and Capital budgets.

Job requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years Facilities Management and Project Management experience required
  • Weekend, evenings & holiday availability
  • Aptitude to work through complex and difficult situations with residents, staff and families
  • Positive and professional customer service approach with external and internal contacts

Receptionist

Our Community is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Receptionist.  As the Front Desk Receptionist, you will answer the phone, greet guest, and assist residents in a friendly and compassionate manner. Ideal candidates will have previous experience and a passion for serving older adults.

Schedule:

Every-other weekend both Saturday and Sunday, 4:30pm-8:00pm.

Requirements:

  • Some Receptionist experience, including answering a multi-line phone, required
  • Basic knowledge of computers required
  • Every-other holiday required
  • Availability to fill-in as needed preferred

Our Community is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Personal Care Aide.  You will provide direct and personal care for our residents while delivering compassionate and friendly service. Ideal candidates will have previous experience working in this setting and a passion for caring for older adults while successfully working in a team environment

Medication Technician, Personal Care

Our Community is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Nursing Assistant with Medication Administration Certification. You will provide direct resident care and administer medications in our Personal Care Setting.

Job requirements:

  • Current Pennsylvania Medication Administration Certification
  • Basic knowledge of health care needs of geriatric resident care
  • Current Pennsylvania Nurse Aide registry status preferred
  • Every other weekend & holiday

Our Community is seeking Certified Nurse Aides to work in our Skilled Nursing Department, which serves up to 72 residents. You will be responsible for the direct and personal care of our residents while delivering compassionate and friendly service. Ideal candidates will have previous experience working in this setting and a passion for caring for older adults while successfully working in a team environment.

Job requirements:

  • Current state certification for Nursing Assistant
  • Basic knowledge of health care needs of geriatric resident care
  • Every other weekend & holiday
