Director of Nursing

Our Community is seeking a hands-on dynamic Director of Nursing to lead our Nursing Team.  This role is responsible for ensuring the optimum efficiency and effectiveness of the Peter Becker Community Nursing Department.

Job responsibilities:

  • This position is responsible for developing department goals and policies
  • Supervising and evaluating nursing staff
  • Assuring compliance with government regulations
  • Establishing infection control policies and procedures
  • Evaluating and developing a capital expense budget
  • Interacting with the Medical Director, residents’ Physicians and families
  • Maintaining a variety of records relating to the resident care.

Job requirements:

  • Current PA State RN License required
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Management experience in healthcare setting required, previous DON experience preferred
  • Weekend, evenings & holiday availability
  • Aptitude to work through complex and difficult situations with residents, staff and families
  • Positive and professional customer service approach with external and internal contacts

Certified Nursing Assistant Trainees

Our Community is seeking individuals to participate in our next Nurse Aide Training class.  As a Nurse Aide trainee, you should be interested in serving our mission of meeting the physical, spiritual and emotional needs of all members of the Peter Becker Community and should be dedicated to our core values of service, integrity, simplicity, and love.

Job requirements:

  • PA resident
  • Ability to follow regulatory guidelines for the department
  • Experience working with older adults a plus
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, prioritize work and to address emergencies as they may occur

The class will begin Tuesday, June 25th and go until Wednesday, July 31st; class is held from 7:00am – 3:00pm (hours may vary, a complete schedule will be available).  Attendance is mandatory.

Housekeeper

Our Community is seeking an experienced Housekeeper to work in our Independent Living buildings.  Qualified candidates will be able to provide detailed and compassionate housekeeping services to our residents while following proper infection control procedures.

Job requirements:

  • Weekend availability; assigned to 5-week rotation
  • Holiday availability; assigned to 2-3 holidays per year
  • High school diploma preferred

Painter / Maintenance Technician

Our Community is seeking an experienced Painter to join our Facility Management team.  Qualified candidates will be able to work independently, have basic knowledge of building maintenance functions and have professional experience in painting, as well as some basic building maintenance.

Job responsibilities:

  • Paints the interior and exterior of buildings and facilities
  • Reads and completes assigned work orders utilizing electronic work order system
  • Estimates type and amount of material, tools and other supplies needed for job tasks
  • Maintains safety of paints, supplies and tools
  • Operates and utilizes a variety of equipment, tools and supplies including a paint sprayer, ladders, dry wall supplies, and paint supplies
  • Assists maintenance staff during snow/ice emergencies for removal/abatement and occasional maintenance tasks

Job requirements:

  • Current PA Driver’s License, with clean driving history
  • Positive and professional customer service approach with external and internal contacts
  • Performs rotating on-call duties as assigned
  • Periodic on-call, evening, holiday, overtime and overnight coverage required

LPN Team Leader

Our Community is seeking LPN Team Leaders to work in our Personal Care Department, which serves up to 72 residents. You will oversee the administration of medications, direct the care provided by nurse aides and medication technicians, and provide medical treatments as ordered by physicians.  Ideal candidates will have previous experience working in this setting and a passion for caring for older adults while successfully working in a team environment.

Job requirements:

  • Current state LPN license
  • Advanced knowledge of health care needs of geriatric resident care
  • Meet Pool scheduling requirements of at least 3 shifts per month (2 must be weekends)
  • Occasional holidays per Pool requirements

  • Current Pennsylvania Medication Administration Certification
  • Basic knowledge of health care needs of geriatric resident care
  • Current Pennsylvania CNA preferred
  • Every other weekend & holiday

Our Community is seeking an individual to work as part of our Dining Services Team as a Cafe Cook.  This person will prepare food and provide exceptional service to our Cafe customers.

Job requirements:

  • Previous cooking experience required
  • Basic current knowledge of therapeutic diets, food preparation, and dining service.
  • Desire to work and thrive in a fast-paced Dining Services Industry
  • Must have a passion for working with and meeting the desires and dreams of older adults

Our Community is seeking individuals to work as part of our Dining Services Team.  Multiple roles are available in the front and back of the house to enhance our resident’s dining experience. Minimal to no experience is required, just a positive attitude and desire to work in a team setting. Must be 16 years of age or older.

Part Time; Evenings and Weekends
